Walk for the Cause
The Soroptimist International of Albany's annual event Walk for the Cause is a fundraiser focused on raising funds for the detection and treatment of breast cancer, as well as providing support services for other diseases affecting women. Join us as we unite as a community, celebrate 30 years of empowering women, and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
2026 marks our 31st anniversary and we want to continue surpassing expectations by making this another great year!
Event Information
Come and be a part of the vibrant Walk for the Cause event, on October 3, 2026, at the Courthouse steps in Albany, Oregon. 2026 marks our 31st Walk Celebration, and we invite you to join our challenge - let's get to $1million to support the detection and treatment of breast cancer, and other diseases affecting women in our local community.
The day kicks off with registration at 8am, followed by an engaging program at 9am. Lace up your sneakers and get ready for the Walk/Run at 9:15am, where you can participate in our traditional 5K and contribute to a meaningful cause.
As part of the festivities, we will be hosting a raffle drawing at 10:30am. The best part is, you do not need to be present to win! Be sure to pre-order your raffle tickets during registration, with an offer of 5 tickets for $20. By attending the Walk for the Cause event, you are contributing to a significant cause. All proceeds from this SIA event go directly towards the detection and treatment of breast cancer, as well as providing support services for other diseases affecting women.
